Individuals suffering financially from changes in the recent home ownership and mortgage “crisis” are eligible to apply for assistance. Assistance is limited and will not be available to all applicants. Individuals who wish to seek assistance must submit a completed application to Givin’ It Back Industries. This application will be considered by the Givin’ It Back committee, who has sole authority to grant assistance under this program. The submission of an application in no way guarantees that the applicant will receive assistance. The committee reserves the right to award or not award grants and determine the amount of the grant awarded based on its sole discretion. All decisions of the committee are final and cannot be appealed. Only formal notification from Givin’ It Back Industries indicating approval of an application and disbursement of funds can be considered as approval for an award. Assistance will be awarded to eligible applicants in varying amounts. Eligibility will be gauged primarily on financial need and evaluation of a narrative description of the individual applicant’s recent difficulties with the loss of value in their home and/or recent detrimental changes in mortgage rates. Up to $6,000 of assistance will be awarded per individual, but only as funds remain available. Funding of assistance is derived primarily from the sale of the book  Surviving Mortgage Meltdown.
